Royal View After School Program is a play-based, child-led program running five days a week from 3:30–5:15pm, in partnership with a local neighbourhood school. One of our primary focuses is accessibility, ensuring the program is welcoming, inclusive, and available to families in our surrounding community. Our heart is to create a safe and welcoming space where every child feels known, valued, and loved.

The program is child-led, meaning children are encouraged to take the lead in choosing activities that interest them, while being closely supervised and supported by trained staff. There is a strong emphasis on physical activity and outdoor play—you’ll almost always find us outside whenever weather and space allow. Through fun and engaging experiences, we support children’s physical and emotional well-being while exploring important life skills such as hygiene, healthy eating, and positive relationships.

Activities include organized sports, outdoor free play, choose-your-own-adventure play stations, crafts, STEM projects, movie days, and more—all within a safe environment that encourages movement, creativity, confidence, and self-discovery.

The program will run on Monday to Friday from 3:30 PM until 5:15 PM. The After School Program will run this year from Monday Sep 8, 2025 to Friday June 19, 2026.

After School will not run on days when school is not in session. Dates below:

• Thanksgiving: October 13

• Christmas break: Dec 20 -Jan 4

• Family Day: February 16

• March break: March 16-20

• Good Friday: April 3

• Easter Monday: April 6

• Victoria Day: May 18

• PD Days: October 30, November 14, December 5, January 28, February 13, March 13, May 1, June 12

• Any additional days will be communicated in advance

Please note this program is designed for children in JK- Gr 6, however we will accept children from any grade. 

Children in Grade 6 and up might be encouraged to take on a leader in training role, helping younger ones.
